Friday Feature (Weekend Edition): The Sound of Christmas

Where do you stand on the subject of Christma music? Are you excited when the local radio station starts its all-Christmas-all-the-time playlist, even if it's only November 1? Or, do you grumble and change the station, wondering how soon they'll be back to their normal programming

In our family, we have two November birthdays, so the Christmas music at our house starts later in the month. In fact, we have a family tradition: we play the Johnny Mathis Christmas album after dinner on Thanksgiving. I still remember Christmases at my grandmother's house, putting the vinyl record on the turntable of the stereo (which, in those days, was an actual piece of furniture) as the dishes were being washed.
